Who We Are
Curtin Painters & Decorators is a father son painting team based in Christchurch. Between them John and Sean have over 60 years experience in the trade. Hailing from Ireland they have called Christchurch home since 2012.
Established in 2015, they are now a team of five and have been providing their services too many happy property owners, builders and project managers. Covering all aspects of the trade, from airless spraying to paperhanging and everything in between, they are the team to work with to bring your next painting project to life.

John has been Painting for over 40 years, and in that time has developed a great understanding of what is required to achieve a great finish that last and also what is needed to ensure our projects run seamlessly as possible. Learning his trade in Ireland he then worked in the uk before moving back home and creating a buisness of his own. Living in Christchurch since 2012, John established Curtin painting and decorating in 2016 with Sean soon joining him.

Sean's journey in painting started in his school holidays when he would work for his father John. By 16 he decided he wanted to sign up for his apprenticeship and once qualified headed to Australia on a O E of sorts. Over the 2 years traveling down the east coast Sean worked for different painters always learning new and different ways to achieve a quality finish. In 2012 Sean moved to Christchurch and quickly settled into life here, joining Curtin Painters and Decorators soon after being established.
